1. OPENING AND WELCOME

Hey everyone, thanks for joining us this evening! It’s so fantastic to finally get all of you into the same room for an official meeting. I’m Nevan, the SUDA President, and this is Noshin, our lovely SUDA Vice President. We’ll be running today’s General Meeting.

1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING & BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

As mentioned in the Ordinary Meeting, SUDA has several upcoming, exciting plans for events, such as recurring Designer Drinks, Interfaculty Pub Crawl, Industry Raffle and, or course, End of Year Ball! Today, we're excited to take a big step in increasing our diverse range of voices and representation involved in our main team. We will be voting to add a second Bachelor of Interaction Design Representative to the committee team. Further to this, we will be voting on our traditional first year representatives for 2025, International Representative and Interaction Design Representative/s.

1. VOTING CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGE

This vote will follow the process of: Proposal, seconding of proposal, explaining the existing clause, explaining the new clause, voting on the change through a form. The vote will only be passed en bloc by a 2/3 majority vote of Ordinary Members

vi) Interaction Design Representative

vii) International Student Representative(s)

Reason for Amendment

The society’s ‘Portfolio Committee’ provides a diverse and accurate representation of the different facets of Architecture, Design and Planning, each role offering unique insight and perspectives into each degree. The Committee also provides additional help to the executive team, which is greatly needed amidst peak event planning periods including ball and end of semester party.

1. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVES

The roles that are available are:

• 2 x first year representatives
• 2 or 1x Interaction Design Representative (Depending on Constitutional Amendment)
• 1 x international representative

The process will follow: Nominations (from members associated with the candidate; candidates may not self nominate), seconding of, introduce themselves:

Please nominate a candidate. After a candidate is nominated, another person must second the nomination. Once we have several nominees, each candidate will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain why they should be on the SUDA Committee. After all introductions, we will proceed to vote.

• 2 x first year representatives
• 2 or 1x Interaction Design Representative (Depending on Constitutional Amendment)
• 1 x international representative
