Book Society Annual General Meeting

Hello lovely BookSoc members!

Looking forward to seeing you all for our AGM on Thursday, 21st Nov, from 4-6pm. Join us in person at Holme Building (Common Room), or online via Zoom: https://uni-sydney.zoom.us/j/85732911634

After the AGM, we’ll head across the road to Manning Bar for drinks! 🍻 Everyone’s welcome to join us — but please note that only BookSoc members who joined by 7 November 2025 will be eligible to run for positions in the election. (You have two days left to check your membership!)

We really want this to be an active and engaging election to help BookSoc continue to grow — and that starts with you! Whether you’ve been to our events this year or are new and keen to get involved, we’d love for you to run for a position or come along to support your fellow members.

INFO FOR NOMINEES:

• Bring your USU ID (found in the USU app, not your Uni student ID).
• You’ll have 1 minute to introduce yourself on the floor (optional).
• If you can’t attend or don’t wish to speak, we’ll read out the paragraph you submitted in your nomination.
• While voters can join via Zoom, we’d love nominees to attend in person if possible.
• If you’ve nominated for multiple roles, voting will proceed in order (starting with President). If elected to a higher role, you’ll become ineligible for the others.
