Wellness

Looking after your health and wellbeing is incredibly important during uni. Long hours in classes or studying means making time for your physical and mental health can be hard. In support of student wellbeing, USU holds lots of events throughout the year.

I want support for an experience of sexual, family or intimate partner violence

USU is passionate about connecting our members with the best supports for their needs. If you have experienced sexual misconduct, it was not your fault and help is available.

Follow this link for details of supports including the team at Safer Communities. They can help staff and students who have experienced recent or historical sexual misconduct.

You can talk to a professional by contacting Full Stop on 1800 385 578 or 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732, or use their online chat functions.

If you would like information and support around healthy, safe relationships, check out Relationships Australia or Say it Out Loud.

Concerned you may have used abuse in a relationship?

Contact Mensline on 1300 789 978 or 1800 RESPECT on 1800 737 732.

USU handles disclosures of sexual, family and intimate partner violence (SFIPV) with discretion and a trauma-informed approach.

You can report what happened to the USU or to USYD.

Not sure where to go? Contact USU Wellness Coordinator Bec: r.mackay@usu.edu.au or 0422 771 719 for any wellness-related concern.
