I’ve been accused of academic dishonesty
Academic dishonesty is a breach of the Academic Integrity Policy and can be taken very seriously. This includes but is not limited to plagiarism and contract cheating:
Plagiarism is taking someone else’s work and pretending it is your own. Plagiarising could be considered an academic integrity breach, so it’s important you understand what USyd mean by plagiarism and what steps to take in order to avoid it.
Contract cheating is when you get someone else to complete some or all your work, and then you submit it as if it were your own. This could be asking a friend or family member or paying someone to complete an assignment from a company who could be posing as a ‘tutoring’ company. Contract cheating is an academic integrity breach and is taken very seriously and is also considered illegal under Australian law.
