Quiet Room: Terms of Use
Respect the purpose of the space.
Keep noise to a minimum and use quiet voices if you need to speak.
Please be respectful of all people, including those who are neurodivergent, disabled, or managing sensory overload, anxiety, fatigue, or other needs.
Treat everyone with dignity and respect. Bigotry, discrimination, harassment, or abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes behaviour based on disability, neurodiversity, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, age, etc.
Keep phones on silent. If you need to take a call or have a longer conversation, please step outside.
Use shared resources thoughtfully. Feel free to use items such as noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools, or sensory supports. Please return them when you're finished and do not remove them from the room.
Leave the room as you found it. Return furniture and resources to their place, dispose of rubbish, and help keep the space clean and tidy.
Help maintain a calm environment. Avoid activities that may be disruptive, such as playing audio without headphones or engaging in loud conversations.
Respect privacy. Please do not photograph, film, or record anyone in the room.
If something needs attention, let an event volunteer know. This includes damaged equipment, supplies that need replenishing, or anything affecting the comfort or safety of the space.
