International Food and Culture Fair

Join us from 25 to 27 March to celebrate the diverse cultures of our student community at our International Food & Culture Fair!

This festival is a little piece of home for our international students and an opportunity for others to experience new cultures. Mark your calendars for this unique opportunity to explore the world right here on campus!

Grab a postcard from the USU info booth, explore the stalls, and collect stamps along the way! Once your postcard is fully stamped, head to the Spin the Wheel for a chance to win exciting prizes.

Wind Chime Art Workshop
Wind chimes originated in ancient China and have since spread across the world, influencing cultures in Europe, India, Japan, and beyond. Each region has developed its own unique style, from temple bells to decorative home chimes. In this workshop, we’ll focus on the Japanese Fūrin, known for its gentle sound and cultural significance.

Bringing the spirit of the Pacific Islands to life, with dancers from Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and New Zealand. The troupe will perform celebratory island dances, wearing beautiful, handmade costumes to match the origins of the dance.

International Movie Night: Parasite

Korean 탈 Tal Workshop - Conceal but reveal (mask workshop)
Tal, Korean masks represent concealing one's true identity and status, allowing for sharp satire and criticism of the times. There are various masks that hold religious significance as well as providing entertainment and humour to alleviate hardships.
