WOSOC (Sydney University Work and Organisational Studies) Annual General Meeting

The WOSOC AGM (Annual General Meeting) is an annual event organized by the Work and Organisational Studies Society (WOSOC) at the University of Sydney Business School. It serves as a formal meeting where members gather to review the society’s achievements and operations over the past year, including financial reports, events, and collaborations with industry and academic partners. The AGM is also a key opportunity to elect a new executive committee—positions such as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Events or Marketing Officers—for the upcoming year. During the meeting, members can propose motions, discuss improvements, and shape the future direction of the society. Beyond its administrative purpose, the WOSOC AGM also celebrates the society’s role in connecting students interested in Work and Organisational Studies, Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, and Leadership with professional development opportunities. In essence, the AGM is both a reflective and forward-looking event, combining formal governance with community engagement among students passionate about workplace culture, people management, and business strategy.
