4. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVES

Appointment of Returning Officer

Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:

• President

• Vice President

• Secretary

• Treasurer

• Social Media Officer

• Cultural Advocacy Officer

• And up to a further 2 General Executive Member(s).

Only ordinary members shall be eligible to be candidates for election or to vote in the election. Before the day of election candidates may nominate for positions as well as on the day of the IGM. Before the election a suitable person, not being a candidate for election, will act as the Returning Officer and oversee conducting the election. The Clubs & Societies Manager shall serve as the Electoral Arbiter and shall receive any appeals against the decisions of the Returning Officer. Voting shall be conducted by secret ballot and shall be run as a First Past the Post. The voting of positions will run in order from President to General Executive members. Any vacant executive positions may be filled at a General Meeting following the ordinary procedures as per Section 9 of the WSHI constitution.
