USYD Toastmasters AGM and Week 10 meeting, we will practice

We will conduct our AGM, then conduct a shortened regular meeting, this will involve. prepared speeches and impromptu speeches. We aim to provide a welcome and open environment for students to practice their public speaking and leadership.

Appointment of Returning Officer

Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:

● President,

● Vice President Education,

● Vice President Membership,

● Vice President Public Relations,

● Secretary,

● Treasurer,

● Sergeant at Arms

Candidates who wish to be nominated will present their statement either via Zoom or in person, depending on their attendance method. After all the candidates for each executive position have spoken, voting will be conducted anonymously in real time. In person will be done by a blind hand count (people will close their eyes and vote for the candidate by raising their hand once their name is called.) Zoom voting will be done by directly messaging the host of the meeting with their vote.

The returning officer, a current executive who is not running, will count the nomination results and announce the candidates with the most nominations as the incoming executive.
