Sydney University Artificial Intelligence Association Inaugural General Meeting

Hey everyone! We're thrilled to host the inaugural general meeting of the Sydney University Artificial Intelligence Association (SUAIA)! This is an exciting milestone as we lay the foundation for our association and discuss our goals and aspirations moving forward.

During the meeting, we'll outline our mission, explore various opportunities for engagement, and gather your ideas on how we can create a vibrant community of AI enthusiasts. We'll also open the floor for nominations for our first executive team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make your voice heard and help build a thriving community centred around artificial intelligence. AGENDA OF INAUGURAL GENERAL MEETING OF Sydney University Artificial Intelligence Association TO BE HELD AT 2pm – 3pm on the 1/11 at the WENTWORTH BUILDING (TALL TABLE SECTION):

1. OPENING AND WELCOME

2. ADOPTION OF CONSTITUTION

3. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVES

3.1 Appointment of Returning Officer

3.2 Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:

· President

· Co-President

· Vice President

· Secretary

· Treasurer

· Events Coordinator

· Marketing / Publicity Officer

· And up to a further 3 General Executive Members

3.3 Nomination Eligibility

· All nominees must be current members of the organisation that hold memberships eligible to vote and hold executive positions.

3.4 Nomination Process

· Nominations must be submitted in person during the inaugural general meeting, including the name and position for which the individual is being nominated.

· To stand for election, nominees must accept nomination.

3.5 Voting Procedures

· Voting shall be by secret ballot and will utilise the First Past the Post method.

· Detailed voting instructions will be provided at the meeting.
