It's that time again – this is your official notice for the 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), to be held in the Social Sciences Building in Seminar Room 105, at 6pm on the 27th of October!

Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:

* One elected individual must be wom*n identifying
** Indicates an autonomous position, whereby you must hold the status of the position you are seeking election for

Voting shall be by secret ballot and will be preferential.
To nominate for any of the elected positions listed in the agenda above, please send an email to [email protected] with your full name, degree, student number, and USU membership number. Please indicate the position(s) you are running for and include up to 100 words of motivation speaking to your nomination.
If electing for an executive position, SASS highly recommends attending in person. Issues arising from not attending in person will not be considered grounds for appeal or special consideration.
Nominations will close one (1) week before the AGM, at 5:59PM on Monday 20th October 2025.

In accordance with Clause 9.a.ii.1 of the SASS Constitution, please note that the electoral roll has been closed upon this provision of notice for the AGM. If you want to check if you are eligible to vote or run for election, please email [email protected].
In the interest of reducing eligibility processing time at the outset of the AGM, SASS is encouraging those intending to vote to complete a pre-registration form. This will allow the Executive to process most voters before the GM has begun. Please note that regardless of pre-registration, a member will have to be verified to be in attendance at the GM in order to vote. Pursuant to voting rights eligibility, please be prepared to provide proof of faculty and student status (e.g., enrolment screenshot) when completing the pre-registration form or when entering the meeting.
