SUDATA – Intro to Data Science

This event aims to help SUDATA members enrolled in DATA1002 this semester a brief overview and demonstration of key Python tools used in data science. It will help them get an early start in the course and also serve as an introduction for any students interested in learning the fundamental tools of data science.

Guest speakers introduce fundamental python tools used in data science (related to DATA1002 content, such as pandas and numpy) and its application in real-life data analytics, with guest speakers demonstrating their past projects using these python tools.

Who: Students interested in applications of Python tools in Data Science / Students taking DATA1002 this semester

What: Intro to Data Science (Python Libraries)

When: Week 2 Tuesday, 12/08/25, Semester 2 2025, 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Where: PNR304 (J02.03.304)

Why: To introduce students with basic tools in python in their learning about Data Science, especially for students taking DATA1002 this semester(relevant content)
