ELECTION DETAILS
With no initial nominations for the Events Manager position at the AGM, another round of nominations will take place. The position will be held until the next Society’s AGM in May of 2026.
Nominations will be considered and voted on for the position of:
- Events Manager.
Members of the Society will be able to self-nominate for election via Google Forms: https://forms.gle/bLPaJSL9Qyd54p7t5. All nominated Executive candidates may briefly speak in the meeting on why they believe they are best suited/want to apply for the position. Please fill out this form before the meeting.
Executive candidates running in absentia will submit a statement to be read out in the meeting by emailing [email protected]
Please familiarise yourself with the duties of the positions you intend to nominate yourself for, found in Sections 4 and 5.5 of our Constitution*:
- Book spaces to conduct events;
- Book meeting rooms for the Society when required;
- Decide, host and time the schedule of events;
- Ensure smooth running of the events;
- Liaise with the Treasurer and manage expenses;
- Recruit volunteers to run the event;
- and Ensure an adequate handover, including any documents and materials to the following Executive.
*With the newly created Events Subcommittee, these duties will be shared and/or managed by the Events Manager with the subcommittee.
