Join us on Thursday Week 3 for an insight into the semiconductor field!
This event will give you the
opportunity to explore USYD's Research and Prototype Foundry @ Sydney Nanoscience Hub and learn about the amazing potential of semiconductors!

- Overview of the RPF and what a cleanroom is
- Talk by RPF Academic Director and Associate Professor Steve Shu – Topic tailored to SparkSoc's interests based on his class ELEC5405
- Inclusion of a student speaker who recently attended a Semiconductor Bootcamp in Taiwan, supported by S3B

1 hour Interactive Session
– Students can explore displays set up by the RPF.
Displays could include samples of items fabricated in the RPF cleanroom, photolithography masks etched and viewed under a microscope, some microfluidic devices and a display of the RPF virtual 3D cleanroom tour.
