Sehat Series 3: Run with Sehat
Event description
MIXED β ALL GENDERS WELCOME
Why is cardio important? Why do South Asians need to pay more attention to their cardiovascular health? How to create a running plan and avoid injuries when starting to run?
Don't worry, we got you! Learn the basics of running and cardio health from an Athletics Australia accredited Performance Coach!
Kaur Sports x USYD Sikh Society x Glenwood Athletics and Sports Club will ensure a safe and supportive environment for you to learn about why running is important for longevity and quality of life.
We will go over:
- The importance of working on your cardiovascular health,
- How to create a running plan for beginners,
- Running technique to avoid injuries,
- Answer any questions you might have,
- And finish off on a relay race!
What to wear/bring:
- Closed toe shoes (ideally, running shoes)
- Comfortable, stretchy, breathable, clothes you can run in
- Water bottle
- Hat
- Sunscreen
Attendees under 18 years old must attend with a parent/guardian.
