Meet the Industry Organisations (AITPM, PIA & UDA)
Look, we get it: acronyms are everywhere. But hear us out; we're going to explore three acronyms that are worth knowing as a student in the urbanism and built environment space: AITPM (Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management), PIA (Planning Institute of Australia) and UDA (Urban Design Association).
These organisations support people in all stages of their careers in areas such as traffic and transport planning and management, urban and regional planning and urban design. They also have great benefits for students, including valuable networking opportunities and student-focused events among other perks.
You might have heard of them before, and might have already seen a short presentation from them squeezed into a related careers event. But this time, we're giving the spotlight (and the event time) to them.
What to expect:
- Hear directly from representatives of AITPM, PIA and UDA
- Learn about their role, values, and opportunities for students
- Enjoy some fun trivia in between presentations that will test your knowledge!
Networking & Refreshments:
- Enjoy free food and drink
- Connect with professionals and peers
- Ask questions and build valuable industry connections
