Echoes: ‘Dismantle / Assemble’

Join us for an expansive listening experience as we tune in to sonic works improvised and created by pipa player Yichu Huang and Chinese dulcimer (yangqin) player Hazel Chow. This edition of Echoes deals with themes of intergenerational cultural memory, diasporic experience and migrant communities.

Echoes is Verge’s student sound series ​featuring emerging musicians and sound artists from The Conservatorium of Music and Sydney College of the Arts. Join us as we embark on a listening journey through the Verge Gallery program, tracing the resonances between emerging student artists and established practitioners, expanding planes of perception through deep listening and experimentation with sound.

Free food and drink provided. Performances begin at 12:30pm.

Transition to USU Ltd
From 1 April 2026, USyd Student Union Ltd (ABN 52 688 637 818) became the organisation running the services, programs and activities previously operated by the University of Sydney Union (ABN 73 818 179 759). As part of the transition, existing USU membership benefits will continue to be recognised until 30 June 2026 in line with the transition arrangements. USU Rewards benefits will continue only for members who join USU Ltd. Membership of USU Ltd is separate and only takes effect in accordance with the USU Ltd constitution.
