‘Dismantle / Assemble’ exhibition launch and food exchange
Experience a vibrant taste of Asia at this exciting evening food event celebrating the launch of Dismantle / Assemble by Cindy Yuen-Zhe Chen. Artists Phuong Ngo, Marikit Santiago, Jayanto Tan and Cindy Yuen Zhe Chen share their favourite dishes, inviting you to explore the rich flavours of their cultural backgrounds.
Enjoy delicious Filipino treats like silvanas and ube sweets, Indonesian and Malaysian Peranakan finger foods, comforting Chinese dishes and an array of Vietnamese snacks. Come along to try new flavours, hear the stories behind the dishes, and connect in a warm, festive atmosphere.
There’ll also be an atmospheric evening performance by the Chinese Music Ensemble, led by Dr Nicholas Ng and featuring students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
All food and drinks provided are free. This event is part of the USU Food & Culture Fair.
Please note: tickets for USYD students are free, but by ballot only. Please register through the form and you will be contacted if you have won a ticket. Ballot winners will be entitled to up to 2 tickets.
