Cards Against SUAnime
Hello everybody, Cards Against SUAnime is back for Semester 2, 2025! But we're making some changes to make the event even better…
Speaking traditionally, Cards Against SUAnime, AKA CAS, is an event where SUAnime members can come along, play some board games, enjoy some snacks, & just chat around. With the event occurring every Wednesday from 12:00PM to 4:00PM, you're more than welcome to just spend some time with us between your classes, just chilling or maybe getting yourself a light snack to fuel yourself through the day.
We've got plenty of board games available, from simple card games to some poker
Whether you're just down for a quick round of UNO, or maybe something a little longer like Danmaku, come along & see what tickles your fancy. After all, there's FREE snacks involved! So whether it's to catch up with old friends or make some new ones, we got you covered.
As for what's different this time around, SUAnime is adding a MANGA CORNER to this event! This will be held between 1:00PM to 3:00PM within CAS time. The Manga Corner will be a bit like a book club, where every week, we'll be reading around a dozen chapters from a manga. In the first hour, we'll regroup & discuss what we've read. With the completion of every manga, we'll collectively vote on the next manga to read, meaning you can put us on to some of your favourite series as well! Within this time, we'll also air WEEKLY EPISODES of a seasonal anime, which you'll also have an opportunity to discuss with fellow attendees!! With free snacks to accompany, what else could you wish for?
The second hour of our Manga Corner will be dedicated to free reading time. Some of our execs have been kind enough to lend their manga out, which you can read during this time. Note that you will NOT be allowed to take these home; it is not a library system. Rather, you pick up a volume & just read it before returning it at the end of the session. Of course, you're also welcome to use this time to just chat, whether that be putting a friend onto a light novel you read recently, or raving about the illustrations of that new manhwa you picked up a while back, we're welcoming all of you.
