BarberSoc Auditions Sem 2 2024

Welcome to BarberSoc A Cappella!

BarberSoc is a place where we sing a cappella tunes, running the gamut from pop to barbershop to choral to indie to original songs. The focus is on making good music and good vibes with good people. We groove hard, but we care harder 🙂

Our four choirs rehearse weekly on USyd main campus from 6-8pm. Each choir is open to people of all genders and musical experiences.

Monday: The Power Chords (SATB, directed by Margot Roberts and Sophie Beer)
Tuesday: Pitch Please (SSAA, directed by Vanessa Kwa)
Wednesday: Duly Noted (TTBB, directed by Ruben Mihalovich)
Thursday: The Accidentals (SMATBarB, directed by Holly Miller and Rowen Yue)

In addition, we offer the opportunity to perform in self-directed small groups. You bring the music, we bring the concert!

Audition signups close Thursday 1 August 11:59pm.

We have places available in all four choirs! Sign up to secure an audition. Auditions are relaxed and open to people of ALL skill levels and see no experience levels 🙂

You can audition either online OR in-person.

The auditions consist of:
     1. Singing ~1 minute of any song you like
     2. Testing your range (upper and lower)
     3. A quick harmony test, no preparation needed
