’70s General Meeting (GM) 03/06

Join us for our General Meeting from 7-8pm on the 3rd of June (STUVAC week), where we will be holding elections for two executive positions: Vice President and Treasurer. This meeting is a key opportunity for members to have their say in the leadership of the society and ensure a smooth continuation of our activities for the remainder of the year.

All members are welcome and encouraged to attend and participate!

Vice President Role Outline (from Society Constitution):

i) Deputise for the President.

ii) Oversee publicity and promotion for society events, activities, and meetings

Treasurer Role Outline (from Society Constitution):

i) Maintain the Society’s finances in accordance with the handbooks produced by the Clubs & Societies Office of The University of Sydney Union.

ii) Present to the Annual General Meeting of the Society a report detailing the financial activity and status of the Society.

iii) Ensure an adequate handover, including any documents and materials, to the following Executive.

Election process: During the meeting, each nominee will give a 1-2 minute speech about their candidacy. After this, an anonymous poll will be conducted to vote for a new Vice President/Treasurer. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can nominate a proxy (someone who can attend the meeting on your behalf) in the application form above.
