Young Vinnies

The Sydney Uni Young Vinnies Society believes that a deficiency of compassion breeds an attitude of inaction. SUYV, supported by the USU and St Vincent de Paul, provides a range of volunteer opportunities for students interested in giving back to their community. We also hold a multitude of social events throughout the year!

Interested in volunteering while broadening your perspective and forming long lasting friendships? SUYV is the society for you! Our range of programs and social events ensure that there’s something for everyone. We often hold events with other Vinnies societies, so you can get to know even more people!

Our Winter Sleepout at the Quad is an fulfilling and unmissable experience, and get keen for our annual Vinnies Ball.

In 2025, we will be running the following volunteer programs:

  • Night Patrol – Wednesdays monthly
  • Brekky Van – Sundays monthly
  • Buddies Days – TBC
