University of Sydney Sri Lankan Society

Founded in 2003, the Sri Lankan Society was formed so that fellow Sri Lankans could experience a piece of home away from home. Today we bring together members of many different nationalities to celebrate and share Sri Lankan culture with the Sydney Uni community. Known as 'The Pearl of the Indian Ocean', Sri Lanka is famous for its tropical island climate, delicious food, and Ceylonese tea, and Sri Lankans sure know how to have a great time.

Join our society and you can expect fun, action-packed events with a classic Sri Lankan twist, plus a tight-knit, family-like community that knows how to have a great time, Sri Lankan style.
