The USYD Forex Investment Association is for individuals passionate about the foreign exchange market and trading investments, offering a blend of career and entrepreneurial opportunities whether students aspire for a career as a forex trader or seeking to apply classroom knowledge to generate passive income through forex trading. We plan to provide skill development through networking events, trading seminars and introducing the first-ever trading competition where students can compete in a simulated trading floor environment. We also want to offer roles in the future for our investment fund which we will have to gather a team of traders and analysts in equity research and investments.
What sets us apart is our unique blend of career and entrepreneurial focus. We aim to equip students with essential forex market knowledge, prepare them for industry careers, and empower them to succeed as self-employed forex traders.
Throughout our time, members will have opportunities to:
– Skill Development: Participate in sponsored networking events, live trading seminars and the first-ever trading competition where students can compete in a simulated trading floor environment, utilising their trading strategies on demo trading accounts that mimic real-world conditions.
– Mentorship and Sponsorship: Learn from experienced mentors and entrepreneurs who will share their success stories and secret strategies to succeed as an Independent trader. Students can also benefit from sponsorship roles and events that provide a jumpstart into trading careers as we plan on partnering with industry leaders at Commercial and Investment Banks, Hedge Funds, and Asset Management.
– Investment Fund: Be a part of our future forex investment fund, where students can take on roles such as Investment Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, and Trading Analyst, gaining hands-on experience in managing investments for potential university initiatives that can benefit aspiring finance & trading careers.
– Community Building: Be part of a collaborative community of like-minded traders, entrepreneurs and future industry leaders, leveraging real-life expertise and classroom knowledge to grow together.
