USYD Forex Investment Association
The USYD Forex Investment Association is an active student-run society launched in 2024 that is the only forex-specific club at the University of Sydney. Our mission is to bridge the gap for like-minded students interested in Alternative Investments, Quantitative and Foreign Exchange (FX) Trading Investments, offering a blend of career and entrepreneurial opportunities through the delivery of networking events, trading seminars, learning resource publications, strategy-focused fund opportunities and trading competitions that will occur throughout the year.
Throughout our year, members will have opportunities to:
- Skill Development: Participate in sponsored networking events, live trading seminars and the first-ever trading competition where students can compete in a simulated trading floor environment, utilising trading strategies on demo trading accounts that mimic real-world conditions.
- Mentorship and Sponsorship: Learn from experienced industry leaders and entrepreneurs who will share their success stories and secret strategies to succeed as a trader. Students can also benefit from sponsorship opportunities and events that provide a jumpstart into trading careers as we plan on partnering with industry leaders in forex brokerages, proprietary trading firms, commercial & investment banks, hedge funds and asset management firms.
- Investment Fund: Be a part of our strategy-focused FX investment fund, where students can take on roles such as Quant Developer, Investment Analyst, Macro Research Analyst, and Trading Analyst, gaining hands-on experience in managing investments for potential university initiatives that can benefit aspiring finance & trading careers.
- Community Building: Be part of a collaborative community of like-minded traders, entrepreneurs and future industry leaders, leveraging real-life expertise and classroom knowledge to grow together.
