University of Sydney Afghan Society (USAS)

Welcome to the University of Sydney Afghan Society (aka USAS)! This club aims to create a space where any student at the University of Sydney can immerse themselves within the vibrant Afghan culture. You don’t have to be Afghan to join! Join us if you simply want some good food and to make new friends.

USAS’s objective is to promote Afghan culture and traditions to both Afghan and non-Afghan students, enabling students to not only harbour a connection to their heritage and ethnicity, but also educate themselves about the rich history of Afghanistan.

We plan on hosting a variety of fun and engaging events including Iftar nights, Paint n Sips, Coastal Walks, Nowruz celebrations and many more.
