Sydney University United Nations Society (SUUNS)
SUUNS is the first and largest tertiary, student-led and not-for-profit organisation in New South Wales that endeavours to promote awareness of the ideals, objectives and current activities of the United Nations (UN).
Throughout the university semester, we offer events such as:
– MiniMUNs, which are simulated UN public speaking debates addressing humanitarian, political, social, security and environmental issues.
– Professional development and speaker events, where we invite guest speakers to develop our future as global citizens.
– Social events, to give our members an opportunity to network with like-minded philanthropists.
Our largest and anticipated event is our annual Model United Nations Conference, or SydMUN, which is three days of pragmatic research, public speaking debate, finding resolutions to modern world issues and making lifelong friends! If you have any questions at all, we would love to help you out. Send us a message on Facebook or email us at: [email protected].
Come and make new like-minded friends, learn new skills such as public speaking, resolution writing but most important of all, just HAVE FUN!
The annual Sydney Model United Nations Conference at the end of the year is not to miss!
We run professional and social events on a regular basis throughout the semester. There is also a chance to travel inter-state/internationally!
