Sydney University Nepali Society

The aim of the Sydney University Nepali Society (SUNS) is to provide a common forum/platform for the Nepali student community and any person(s) interested in Nepali culture at the University of Sydney. The goals of the club are to enhance the cultural connection to home country for Nepali students at USYD and facilitate their integration to the Australian culture through mentoring, orientation programs and other support systems. In addition, we envision representing, promoting and fostering intellectual dialogues, discourse, and professional collaborations around Nepali culture to the wider USYD community via different activities, for instance, occasional tours to historical places, hosting events to celebrate Nepali festivals and diverse cultures of Nepal and mark national days of historical importance. This society will contribute significantly to the diverse, inclusive and multicultural setting of our university.
