Spacecraft Operations, Launch, and Aerospace Research Integrated Systems (SOLARIS) USYD
Spacecraft Operations, Launch, and Aerospace Research Integrated Systems (SOLARIS) USYD is the University of Sydney’s Satellite Club. It aims to provide USYD students from diverse backgrounds with hands-on opportunities to design, build and operate spacecraft and related systems. We allow students to gain various practical engineering skills by providing them with opportunities in designing and building CanSats, High Altitude Balloons (HABs), and various satellite components such as the satellite bus and payload. SOLARIS USYD also aims to represent the University of Sydney in international student satellite and spacecraft competitions such as the CanSat Competition and the AIAA Undergraduate Team Space Design Competition, and hence, contribute to increasing USYD’s involvement in student-focused space engineering initiatives worldwide.
