Indonesian Student Association (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Australia - PPIA University of Sydney)
PPIA USYD (Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia Australia – University of Sydney) is the Indonesian Students Association at the University of Sydney. Established in 2010, we are a vibrant student community that connects Indonesian students and anyone who is interested in Indonesian culture, language, and people.
Today, PPIA USYD is home to 850+ active members, dominantly students from Indonesian backgrounds, but always open to everyone who wants to be part of our family. Through our weekly hangouts, flagship annual events, cultural celebrations, sports days, and social programs, we aim to create a space where friendships grow, cultures connect, and memories are made.
Supported by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Sydney (KJRI), we organise a wide range of social, cultural, and professional events that encourage the exchange of ideas, language, and culture. From big festivals to chill bonding nights, there’s always something happening at PPIA.
Beyond social life, we also focus on your future. We regularly collaborate with prominent organisations and corporate partners to host career talks, company visits, and professional development programs to help our members grow both personally and professionally. We proudly live by Indonesia’s national motto, “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” – Unity in Diversity, because we believe that our differences are what make our community stronger.

These partnerships allow us to strengthen connections between students, professionals, and the Indonesian community in Australia.
