Pole And Aerial Society
Our society aims to provided a community hub for pole dancers and aerial artists across campus, focusing on inclusion across gender, race, sexuality, ability, and industry. Pole and aerial art is still a blooming practice, attached with a lot of stigma from its origins in sex work. Through this society we hope to provide an on-campus community to inspire and challenge perceptions of what this art form is and can be. Through hosting a variety of social, skill, and dance based activities, we hope to grow the already thriving dance-society scene at the University of Sydney.
