Nushu Culture & Research Association

Our mission is to promote the study, preservation and contemporary understanding of Nüshu, a unique women’s writing tradition from Jiangyong, China. We aim to create an inclusive, women-centred space for cultural learning, research and creative practice, while connecting Nüshu with broader conversations around women’s history, language, memory and shared cultural heritage. Through workshops, public events, collaborations and community engagement, we seek to bring Nüshu into new cultural and educational contexts in Australia.
