Linguistics Society

The Sydney University Linguistics Society has been running social events for lovers of all things languages for over 20 years! We run social events, study days, and more formal linguistics events in conjunction with the Linguistics Department. If you’re studying linguistics and want to catch up with your cohort or you just love languages and everything about them, join our Facebook group to join in the fun online and in-person!

NB: We do not run language learning programmes or language courses.

Join the society to find other people with a love of linguistics, and to chat about your interests. All are welcome, LNGS major or otherwise!

We run weekly social lunches on campus, as well as a community Discord server, Facebook group, and a yearly careers night!
