History Society

Welcome to the Sydney University History Society (HISSOC), the society for both current USYD History students, and all those history enthusiasts in the wider USYD student community.

In 2024 we supported around 400 members with trivia nights, historical pub crawls, movie nights and scavenger hunts. We also collaborated with the History Department in the development of a brand new first year mentoring program, and are always eager to hear your ideas for new events and opportunities.

This year, look forward to more collaborations, excursions, trivia nights, movie nights, costume parties, essay workshops, networking and mentoring opportunities, thought-provoking lectures, and of course, the opportunity to make friends with fellow history nerds!
