Catholic Society

The Sydney University Catholic Society (CathSoc) is home at Sydney Uni for all students who want to learn more about the Catholic Faith and make great new friends!

Together, we aim to live out our faith, deepen our relationship with Christ and explore the rich tapestry of the Catholic faith. We hope to be witnesses to Christ’s love and to share that love with all students.

The Catholic Student Centre is open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday during the semester (It’s the building on Jane Foss Russell plaza opposite SciTech Library!).

There are places to pray, study, eat, play a game of table tennis, or just chill out. Everyone is welcome!

Daily Mass is 12:10pm, Monday to Friday during the semester.

Confession is also available before Mass at 11:30am, Monday – Friday during the semester.

Looking for genuine community amongst like-minded individuals? Come and join CathSoc! Be encouraged in your faith journey and make lifelong friends.

Our Annual Society Ball, mid-year Retreat and on-campus mission weeks are just some of the bigger events we run every year.

CathSoc works closely with the Sydney Uni Catholic Chaplaincy to run weekly small groups such as Bible Study Groups and Tea & Thomas (Theology group).
