1. OPENING AND WELCOME

3. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING & BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES

4. ANNUAL REPORTS

5. CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

The following constitutional amendments are proposed:

a) Existing provision: 
4.1  The Society shall have an Executive consisting of:
i)  A President
ii)  A Vice President
iii) A Secretary
iv) A Treasurer
v) An Event Coordinator
vi) A Marketing Manager
vii) A first-year representative
viii) Sponsorship Director
ix) General executives (2 positions)

Amend to:
i)  A President
ii)  A Vice President
iii) A Secretary
iv) A Treasurer
v) An Events Coordinator
vi) A PR Officer
vii) A Design Director
viii) Sponsorship Director
ix) A General Executive

b) Existing provision:
5.2 The Vice-President(s) shall:
i) Deputise for the President

Amend to:
5.2 The Vice-President shall:
i) Deputise for the President
ii) Delegate tasks amongst executives
iii) Ensure that executives are adhering to their duties by relevant deadlines
iv) Assist the President in the running of GMs and AGMs
v) Assist the President in the preparation of handover documents

c) Remove provision 5.6 - “The Marketing Director:”

d) New provisions:

5.6 The PR Officer shall:
i) Compose original Facebook/Instagram statuses/captions
ii) Regularly re-share society events on Social Media Platforms
iii) Produce event descriptions for Facebook and the USU Website upon liaising with the Events Director
iv) Take Instagram/Facebook Live Streams
v) Assist in video/photography at events and ensure that other available executives assist in this regard.

5.7 The Design Director Shall:
i) Design Facebook Event banners
ii) Design Instagram/Facebook Story Advertisements 
iii) Design Promotional Material
iv) Design Graphics for Holidays and Festivities
v) Design Merchandise and all other unstated visual work
vi) Assist in video/photography at events and ensure that other available executives assist in this regard

Following provisions to be renumbered accordingly:
5.8 The First-year Representative shall: (...)

6. ELECTION OF EXECUTIVES

  • Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions: 

i) A President

ii) A Vice President

iii) A Secretary

iv) A Treasurer

v) An Events Coordinator

vi) A PR Officer

vii) A Design Director

vii) A First-Year Representative

viii) Sponsorship director

  • Nominations will be conducted by an ‘OPA Vote’ link which will be emailed to you
