Appointment of Returning Officer
Nominations will be considered and voted on for the following positions:
  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Vice President
  • Educations Officer
  • Chief Operations Officer
  • Chief Marketing Officer
  • Chief Technical Officer
  • CellarMaster
  • Head of Design
  • General Executive
 
To be considered for election, first the candidate must be nominated by another verbally (i.e. “I nominate X”). This nomination must be seconded verbally, at which point the candidate can choose to accept or decline the nomination. In the possibility of a nomination in absence, the nominated candidate must have expressed interest clearly ahead of time.
Any nominated and seconded candidates can make a short presentation as to why they should hold the position. Once presentations have concluded, the candidates will leave the room while voting commences. The vote will be a show of hands for each candidate made by any attendee of the AGM, and will be conducted by the Returning Officer. The candidate that receives the most votes takes the position.
