How do I become a Vteam Leader?

To become a VTeam Leader, you must already be an active VTeamer and meet the following criteria:

– You’ve completed 50+ volunteer hours through the USU (as tracked in your Rosterfy portal)

or

– You’ve received a staff recommendation based on your leadership potential and positive contributions during shifts.

– You demonstrate strong communication skills, a reliable attendance record, and a genuine willingness to lead and support fellow student volunteers.

Eligibility alone doesn’t automatically make you a leader, you’ll need to opt in by:

Reading and completing the VTeam Leadership Training on the portal.

Registering for and completing the Level Up Leadership Academy (LULA)

Once you’ve completed LULA, you’ll officially become a VTeam Leader and step into a leadership role at USU events and volunteer initiatives.

How can I check if I’ve completed 50 hours or more of volunteering?

To track your volunteer hours, make sure you’re always checking in and checking out on Rosterfy at each shift. Once your hours are submitted, they’re reviewed and added to your total.

If you’re unsure how many hours you’ve completed, you can:

– Reach out to Jen, the Volunteer Programs Coordinator

or

– Email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to check for you.

Keeping your attendance up to date helps ensure you're eligible for opportunities like becoming a VTeam Leader!
