Booking University Spaces
Most spaces on campus not managed by the USU are managed by the University of Sydney. Kinds of spaces bookable through the University are lecture halls and study rooms.
The department that manages University bookings is called University Venues (or Uni Venues) and the online portal to make bookings is called Resource Booker.
When submitting your booking request, The University Venues Team will review your application and assess its complexity. Venue bookings may be assessed as simple or complex, each triggering different approval workflows.
Simple bookings require a full 5 business days prior to the booking date.
If you are considering an outdoor event and it is deemed as complex, other departments will be involved in the review. Your request may take a minimum of 10 full business days to be approved.
Note: These processing timelines are indicative only and may be impacted and/or extended if variations occur, for example, additional information is required from the client, or escalation of Endorsement or Approvals are required. You will be informed accordingly if and/or when these impacts occur. Please ensure your request is submitted with these timings in mind, as we cannot guarantee approval of your activity without the appropriate processing time(s).
Under some conditions, bookings for registered societies are free. The University Venues Team will advise if you are required to pay for support services as cleaning.
