University of Sydney Animal Welfare Society [AWS]

Hello and welcome to the University of Sydney Animal Welfare Society!

We are a group of students who are passionate about animal welfare and aim to:
•    Raise awareness about local and international campaigns and animal welfare issues,
•    Foster a community of awesome and enthusiastic people who are committed to promoting the responsible treatment of animals, and
•    Give opportunities for volunteering, fundraising, and taking action on animal welfare issues.

Meet ups & Community
We hold fundraising events such as bake sales, run awareness campaigns on a variety of issues, host debates and talks - often with different organisations and guest speakers from the field of animal welfare - as well as hold fun social events such as film screenings and food & drink outings.

We organise annual weekend volunteering opportunities to animal sanctuaries and we are just starting to organise weekly volunteering opportunities at shelters.
